The earliest ancestor of this Alber family Peter Alber Roth is first documentary mentioned at the marriage of his son Peter Alber Roth in Bernhausen next Stuttgart on October 28, 1583: "Peter Alber, Peter Alber Sohn und Anna Alber Schuoters Tochter von Bernhausen". From the notation within the register of deaths of Bernhausen on August 25, 1607: "Petter Alber, beÿ 80 Jahren" it is possible to estimate the year of the birth of Peter Alber Roth to 1527. Probably he was communal councillor in Bernhausen and still 1605 mentioned in the parish register as godfather. Until 1718 this Alber family lived in 5 further generations in Bernhausen with "Roth" as byname or additional name for the house, respectively. During this period of about 140 years the Albers were several times communal councillor or "Gerichtsverwandter" (honorary assessor) in Bernhausen. Georg Alber, born in 1726 and died in 1771, administrator of the court of justice and cabinet maker in Bernhausen, was the last Alber ancestor who lived in Bernhausen.
His son Christoph Alber, born in Bernhausen in 1865, was schoolteacher in Rommelshausen (see places) since 1786. He married Catharina Rebecca Raff at Bernhausen in 1787. She came from Degerloch next Stuttgart and her family was resident there for long time. The Raff ancestors can be traced back to the Earl of Württemberg Graf Ulrich V. der Vielgeliebte, whose reign was from 1433 to 1480, and therefore to the European higher nobility.
The son Christoph Friedrich Alber, still born in Rommelshausen, was schoolteacher in Grunbach next Langenbrand in the northern part of the Black Forest since 1818, before he became successor of his father in Rommelshausen from 1830 to 1845. His son Carl Friedrich Alber then was citizen and clothier master craftsman in Grossheppach next Waiblingen. Later he moved to Stuttgart.
Five of his sons became butcher, the four brothers Karl, Gustav, Otto and Emil Alber emigrated to USA between 1882 and about 1888. Only Wilhelm Alber, who died young in 1891, the father of Sofie Alber, stayed in Stuttgart as butcher and host of a wine tavern. After his death his wife Jakobine Alber hold the wine tavern "Obere Stube" in the "Esslinger Straße" in Stuttgart.
